LED treatments are vastly becoming popular in Melbourne due to their incredible versatility. Anyone can benefit from an LED session, and they are often paired with other intensive treatments to create an even better clinical result.
LED is a light-based treatment that assists in reducing inflammation and redness, general healing, assisting at reducing the appearance of active acne and the overall general health of the skin. The treatment in total takes roughly 30 minutes, which includes a cleanse, the LED light session and after care product application.
While LED is not only fantastic for facial concerns it can also be beneficial for clients who have inflamed muscles and joints, neck or back pain and pinched nerves. We do suggest consulting your regular GP prior to this to ensure LED is an appropriate option.
LED can be a beneficial treatment for all, though a consultation is always recommended before commencing with a treatment.
It is the ideal treatment to have either alone or in conjunction with more intensive treatments as it assists in healing the skin at a faster rate, and promotes healthier skin by boosting your collagen and elastin productivity, which is lost overtime as we age.
LED enters the skin at different depths by using various colour wavelengths to cause various reactions in the skin. LED light therapy assists with Rosacea, Acne causing bacteria, skin rejuvenation, and general wound healing after intensive treatments.
LED treatments can be performed as a maintenance treatment to continually improve the skin’s health as we age. At SKIIN, we assess each client’s needs and from there determine how many LED sessions will be most beneficial for their skin concerns – however, most of our clients have at least 5 LED treatments. The session takes 30 minutes which includes your initial cleanse, appropriate product application and the actual LED treatment.
There is generally no downtime with an LED session. You may experience a slight tingling sensation but nothing more than that.
