What is MLD?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle massage-based technique used to decongest the lymphatic system and encourage general circulation.

It is used to assist with recovery from certain procedures, swelling of the joints, chronic oedema and to aid in cleansing unnecessary toxins from the body. As it is a stimulating treatment also, it can help to aid with digestion.

How long does it take?

As the treatments are customised the time does vary, however most sessions range between 30-60 minutes. Depending on the case and degree of swelling, MLD may be provided up to 3-4 times a week.
